What is a fanlisting?

A fanlisting, is a site with one goal. To create a home for a list of fans of one specific thing. In this case, the city of Philadelphia. However, there are hundreds of other fanlistings for almost everything imaginable from people and places, to tv shows and movies, to foods and sports. They can all be found at The Fanlistings. Why Philadelphia?

There are many reasons I chose to create a fanlisting for Philadelphia. The simplest being that I live less then an hour outside of the city, and have spent many a day or weekend in the city. My grandparents live in the N.E. section of the city, and as a child I would spend the summers with them, so I have always been torn between the suburban neighborhood of my home, and the city's lure. It was not until I was older that I started spending more time exploring Philadelphia. From shopping on South Street, to taking my out of state friends to the toursity areas, I always learn or see something new.

"I've never been to Philadelphia, but now I want to go. What should I see?"

Depends on what you're interested in, and how much time you have to spend in the city. If you're just going for the day I suggest touring Independance Mall or spending the day at one of the many museums. If you're looking to spend time outside, go to the Zoo, it's the oldest in the nation. Take a ride along Kelly Drive, or a stroll through Fairmount Park. If you want to go shopping try South Street or Market Street. There's tons of things to do, and you won't be disappointed.
